another first impressions...this one back in the day

family strip

in 2009, i started creating my family story. i chose to start it in 1997, the year we moved to the us. pretty simple sketches, i would draw when i was waiting in the train, or bus, or a lazy afternoon. it's a small notebook, which made it easy to carry around but it was little tough drawing...or trying to fit in the stories. each page has a little story and a punchline. and it goes in order.

it's a good time for me. trying to remember good memories and twisting them a bit to fit what i'm trying to do...it's a good challenge.

so one morning before i went to work i sent a text to my mom. then around lunch time when i checked my phone i had two new messages from her. i had a good kick out of it.
